Comforting Hands

At a glance...

At Teen Vitality we like to meet for an initial consult with parents and/or guardians to discus what each party is hoping to gain from the process and whether we feel together we can move forward.

In an era where mental wellbeing is recognised as a crucial element to a happy and successful life; this service is dedicated to enabling teenagers to gain greater fulfilment in their lives. Whether to improve relationships, day to day living, finding direction or making the most out of their educational settings. Together we will target your unique skills and gifts and unlock them.
This service is delivered by a certified life coach.

Counselling is used to help people come to terms with problems they are facing, with an ultimate aim of overcoming them. We help resolve short-term issues that do not stem from long-term mental health issues. Together we help navigate difficult life situations. We will challenge your thoughts and/or explore more deeper feelings. We are here to create a plan of action together to reconcile issues or help find ways of coping. We encourage you to talk/uncover root causes and identify specific ways of thinking. It is important to note that sometimes, in the short term, counselling can make you feel worse and some sessions are more helpful than others. Common subjects that are tackled are, but not limited to, addiction, bereavement, bullying, illness, mental health, relationships, trauma, feelings of stress, anxiety and low self-esteem.

We look at Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). The type of therapy used will depend on the issues you are facing and what type of person you are.

The goal of counselling is to enable individuals to make critical decisions regarding alternative courses of action without outside influence.

Counselling is not a quick fix and a counsellor will not tell you what to do. The counselling process requires a strong relationship between client and counsellor and a degree of effort on the clients part; together we can create successful methods.

The aim of coaching is to unlock and maximise potential. It is a process that works towards improving performance whilst increasing happiness and life satisfaction. It can boost confidence and self-esteem, improve work performance, form better relationships, give greater meaning to your life, set clear goals and build effective communication skills. It can also lower stress and help with achieving a greater piece of mind. A coach is a wellness professional who helps people make progress in their lives in order to attain greater fulfilment. It is tailored to your needs with an aim to gradually reveal what is holding you back.
Together we identify goals and implement a plan to achieve them.
A coach will not tell you what to do or give you advice, they simply help you find the tools within yourself to get where you want to go. Thus building your resilience.
